![]() When she was 22, working as an assistant in a London film studio, one of her friend invited her to her family’s new farm in Kenya. Today, the Jubilee still sits on her dresser in London ( Goodall & Berman, 2000). ![]() She shared with him everything she loved watching the birds and the spiders and the squirrels climbing trees (with Jubilee on her back), sitting on branches, reading and rereading Tarzan and imagining to be amid African jungles, wild and filled with wonder and animals whom she loves (McDonnell, 2011 Popova, 2015). ![]() Her early love of animals started from her fondness for that toy Jubilee. Since then, two of them became inseparable. Her inspirational and extraordinary life story started when her father gave her-as a child-a stuffed lifelike chimpanzee named Jubilee. Despite nearly everyone, except her mother, Vanne, told her that it was impossible, she turned her dream into reality-she founded the Jane Goodall Institute and the Roots & Shoots program, and she is now considered to be the world's foremost expert on chimpanzees.
